Preparing for Easter: Pope Francis's Perspectives on Mercy and Hope

Lenten Mission

Pope Francis named 2015-16 the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy. He has now declared 2025 as the Jubilee Year of Hope. God's gifts of mercy and hope are deeply connected. Over the course of our two evenings together, we will pray with and reflect on Pope Francis's vision of mercy and hope: how both are expressions of God's love for us, and how both help us to experience God acting concretely in our lives. As we prepare for Holy Week and Easter, we will consider how growing in humility and vulnerability, as well as deepening our trust in God are essential elements of mercy and hope.
