Letter from Fr. Joy
Hello dear Parishioners of Holy Name of Jesus,
As part of the stricter measures taken to control the spread of Covid-19, our archdiocese has issued the updated version of guidelines:
Until further notice:
All places of worship-churches and chapels-without exception, must be closed to the public.
Baptisms, First communion, confirmations, weddings, funerals: postponed until public-health concerns diminish. Should a funeral be held with bodily remains present, rather than cremated, it might not be possible to postpone the liturgy. The funeral must, therefore, be celebrated “in camera” (privately, with restricted attendance)
Priests, permanent deacons, people of consecrated life and lay people who are 70 years of age and above must stay at home.
Certainly it is hard on all of us, but be assured that together we will get through it. As I mentioned to you before, watch the Holy Mass on TV and pray at home. Don’t forget to say the Rosary and ask our Blessed Mother’s intercession to weaken the power of Covid-19 in the world.
Also I ask you to go through previous parish website postings for all other information.
Don’t hesitate to give me a call because I am always at your service. Know that you are all in my prayers.
Reach me at 450-688-3887 Ext. 4
May God Bless and protect you all
Fr. Joy Abraham
